I’ve gathered five plugins worth exploring for your first WordPress project in a neat list below:

Google Analytics for WordPress - Easy implementation and even easier to tie together with your Google Analytics account. If you happen to manage several accounts, then it will simply request which one to connect to via a drop down. Easy peasy!

All in one SEO pack - Comes with a range of benefits such as automatic optimisation of page titles and so forth (all mangble from one point) but will also give you the option to fine tune settings per page (title, description and keywords) and more.

Facebook like button – You download and install the plugin and voila -  the buttons appear perfectly in the bottom of each post. Not much more effort needed then that.

SI CAPATCHA – Anti SPAM – I got swamped with SPAM comments throughout all my WordPress blogs and websites, until I found this, and it put a stop to the floodgates of innaporriate and irrelevant comments almost immediately.

Portfolio slideshow – Easy slideshow with sufficient functionality to showcase/let visitors browse your photographs in a modern manner.

Or maybe five, these stylish mini planthouses are too adorable and very inspiring  for a happy vegan like me. Looks easier to maintain then my Geraniums!

View the entire range from The Botany Factory on their website.

I found this adorable ad online from Google Japan where they have created a fashion show using Google Image Search and a projector. Me like!

Apparently it didn’t work to embed, so view the video at this location.
