New discoveries: Audra Marie Dewitt
Saturday, May 28th, 2011
I love how things happen: I follow my favorite author on twitter (for your who don’t know who the man above is, that’s Neil Gaiman and his beautiful wife Amanda Palmer from Dresden dolls). He posted a re-tweet with link to a set of photos to a for me unknown photographer. And voila – more eye candy for me. View more of Audra Marie Dewitt’s fab work at her tumblr page.

Sponsoring blogs and blogposts
Tuesday, May 17th, 2011
eMarketer recently posted some of the findings from a recent study done by TheBlogFrog amongst female bloggers. The study aimed to find out which type of brands they favor and how they would want a sponsorship/partnership to work. Read the full article here.
The successful relationships I’ve been part of in the past I based on the following “rules”:
- Only contacting relevant blogs to the product and audience
- Proposing a honest relationship and sponsorship of the blog
- Often I would buy ad space in the blog together with offering any products that the owner/writer might want in return for a mention or two in a way that makes both me and the blogger feel comfortable. I.E offer a discount to their readers, or write about a new collection or release of a product line. They would ofcource get a product from the collection which they would appreciate.
- I would always respect peoples/writers boundaries and opinions . In the end of the day if you choose your blogs right, you have the opportunity to have a dialogue with your target audience, and who would not want to listen to their customers?
- I would see the sponsorship as a way of working together, and I had the opportunity to meet a lot of interesting inspiring people. NOT as a business transaction. With a successful happy collaboration with a blog/writers – sales are something that you get as a receipt.
It’s THAT easy!
